First and foremost the music track that the group have collectively decided on was chosen from YouTube, instead of unsigned because the music seemed pretty much the same despite it having a range of genres. The song we decided on is called 'Please Don't Go' by Joel Adams, and just before we chose this song we were finding it difficult to even pick a song in the first place, because we would not have been able to think of anything different. Whereas with the song we prefer it makes it challenging to execute, but it allows us to be creative in order to make a narrative music video. Furthermore, if it does not work out that we do not get permission then we have back up songs to potentially use the It is important to ask the artist's permission to use the song so that it does not break the copyright laws. The copyright law is in place to protect intellectual property as well as prevent anyone else from stealing existing ideas, and from profiting without permission. This is due to the fact that I do not intend to make money. Down below is the email I sent to the artists record label manager, along with the music video of the song that we would like to and hopefully will be able to produce our own version of this music video.
